Long Ride Home

Turns out that the new pad is 250 miles away from where I was born so we are going to spend the night in a motel room. This is where I start my training of them. Thinking that they are pretty sly the sneak me into a room with them. It’s late and since they snuck me in they didn’t bring my crate with them so I am free to roam. The place smells too clean so I piss on the floor just to break it in. They have no idea what I’m doing or thinking so they toss me on the bed to sleep with them and I gladly do so giving them lesson number one. I move ever so slowly up to the top of the bed and stretch out as far as I can taking over both pillows above their heads just like the top dog should. This was after I pretended to fall asleep between them. There life is going to change big time.

So lets get started, I’m Crosby and was born January 8th 2010. I have an English background, which would be English Springer Spaniel to you official people. I had 15 brothers and sisters and was the second puppy to pop out. I wanted to be the first but Granite a Black and White not Tri like me beat me out of the cave.
Do you have any idea what it’s like fighting for a feeding spot with 15 other brothers and sisters.
To make things worse a week later the place where we were staying had a second litter with another dozen puppies. Talk about crowded and stinky man Oh man.
Eight weeks go by and it's killing me that one after another puppies are being taken away and I’m still here fighting for food and fresh air. Then this Dude and Chick come in after me being left in this orphanage for 13 weeks. The lady who was keeping us opens the door to the back yard where we all hang out and in we all come at once. Who know that some Dude would be sitting on the floor and what was he thinking as 15 dogs come running straight for him all at the same time. I jumped on his lap straight away and stayed until he asked to see some of the other dogs. Can you imagine “see some other dogs”? Well the Chick anyway liked me from the get go so I gave her my little “puppy tilted head smile” as they looked at others. Now get this it took them two and a half hours to come back to me and say, “He’s the one”. Hey I know I was the one from my first lap sit.
So off we go to my new home that I’m going to share with this Dude and the Chick.
